Stairway, No. 4 was created with fluid acrylics thinned to a watercolor consistency
painted on a wood panel. The Stairway Series was inspired by a drive down the
California coast. From a distance, I saw a stairway built into the side of a mountain
overlooking the ocean. The ocean and sky seemed endless with a fading horizon,
reaching to the heavens. As I worked my way through the series, I explored different
perspectives, colors, textures, sizes, and moods. Each painting is framed
or not framed to compliment the individual painting.
